advertising postcards from “Au Bon Marché” (1915)
Around 1915, the french department stores “Au Bon Marché” (Paris) published a series of amusing postcards speculating about fututre uses for the quite new airplanes – flying machines heavier than the air, self powered by a motor engine – that were then recently invented and tested by the Wright brothers (1903), Santos Dumont (1906) and Traian Vuia (1906).
